Make Things (Happen) exhibition

I’m delighted to be part of Make Things (Happen), a participatory project organized by Christine Wong Yap featuring artist-created activity sheets to make things or make things happen.

The exhibition is at the Interface Gallery in Oakland, California from 6th Feb – 2nd March 2015.

Make Things (Happen) is intended to multiply creative activity. It began with artists creating activity sheets—downloadable and freely available as photocopies in the exhibition—for anyone and everyone to use and share, encouraging further activation.

Myself and Emily Chappell created a recipe sheet for a Stone Soup event. You can download it here

A Growing Exchange film online

After a series of screenings of the film in Glasgow and The Hague we have put the film online so that a wider audience can see it and hopefully continue to spark conversations about urban agriculture and the role of the artist.

A Growing Exchange film screening in The Hague

A Growing Exchange premièred in The Hague on the 10th of January to a packed audience at the Nuitshuis, a converted bank and took place in the old vaults of the bank, which was quite special. The film was introduced by Arno Van Roosmalen, Director of Stroom Den Haag alongside a greeting from Francis McKee, Director of CCA Glasgow. It was followed by a question and answer session with myself, Annechien and Gert-Jan and a lively discussion about urban agriculture. People found the film inspiring and thought provoking, though disagreeing about the best way to support and develop urban agriculture. It was felt that it was important to enable more people to view the film and at the screening funding was committed to subtitle the film in Dutch.
